About Sable
Sable Hellebore crafts worlds where magic pulses beneath the surface, and love—wild, untamed, and unapologetically complex—run free.
In her books, you’ll find fated mates who reject destiny, found families that rise from the ashes, and characters who are unapologetically real—witty, scarred, and gloriously flawed. Her stories challenge societal norms, celebrating queerness, disability, and the fantastical with a dash of rebellion.
Expect "Why Choose" and Polyamory dynamics, Grumpy/Sunshine duos, and the push-pull of forbidden love, all set against backdrops where the political mirrors the personal.
With over a decade of experience publishing non-fiction and academic works under her scholarly name, Sable brings a depth of insight and skill to her fiction writing. She is passionate about creating stories that resonate with readers who enjoy complex characters and worlds that challenge and enchant.
Born in Pennsylvania, Sable now lives in Wisconsin and has called New York, Texas, and Florida home. A lover of gardening, and both cats and dogs, Sable nurtures life, much like she nurtures her characters through their chaotic and beautiful journeys. She spends most of her days at home with her uniquely brilliant and oddly incredible wife, talking about rocks and bugs and making each other laugh.
